Dramatic shift to green

The National Theater is treasured in Prague for its beauty and cultural significance. In 2003 when time came to repair its roof, engineer Miroslav Ruzicka implemented an innovative system to power the theater and its two adjacent buildings with solar energy panels. The theater also pumps water from the Vltava River in order to heat the building, making the theater energy sustainable.
